Financial Literacy
Possessing the skills and knowledge on financial matters to confidently take effective action that best fulfills an individual's personal, family and global community goals.
Prevention
The term "prevention" is typically used to represent activities that stop an action or behavior. It can also be used to represent activities that promote a positive action or behavior. Research has found that successful substance child abuse interventions and prevention must both reduce risk factors and promote protective factors to ensure the well-being of children and families.
National Scholars
The Scholars Academy program was created to serve the needs of minority students by providing them with a quality education in a supportive learning environment. Students are accepted to the Scholars Academy based on a combination of several factors including high school GPA, ACT/SAT test scores, a complete application, references, a personal interview, and an evaluation of other data such as involvement and community service.
